I have battled a thyroid issue for the past few year that resulted in a complete halt in my monthly cycle. Desperate to get a jump start I finally went to my local OB. It was simple, they took my blood and prescribed synthetic hormone replacement. Wow, that's it? One pill and I'm all better. NO! and I hope you don't believe that either. I sought out alternative health options and the folks at the Herb Shop went in to a further depth of explanation than my local OB could even dream of. There are no quick fixes to repairing years of damage to our body caused by things in our daily lives we can't avoid. Qualified, competent natural practitioners, including naturopaths, herbalists, midwives, HMD's, nutritionists, and acupuncturists are not legal in Alabama. That's why I'll never move back.But people like Mrs. Hicks sell colon cleanses and overpriced supplements, calling herself an herbalist. Maybe her intentions are good, but she's not as knowledgeable as she thinks she is. In my opinion, this gives natural health providers a bad name.
