Easily the best grocery store in Minnesota. Fantastic staff and wonderful selections for any items. I'll drive from Plymouth anytime to shop at Mackenthun's!

I love the atmosphere. They have a great variety of food, just like the big stores have. Produce is always fresh and every staff I encounter are always nice and knowledgeable for any questions you may have.

It is too bad that Waconia does not have a professional bakery. Why? From time to time my wife and I have purchased one of your small round cakes. The ones sitting on a shelf in front of your bakery. We have consistently found that these cakes are flavorless. In other words the chocolate cake barely tastes like chocolate and the white cake is essentially tasteless. To top it off the frosting is so sugary, that is all you taste. Today one of your bakery employees finally confirmed to us that those cakes are purchased from an outside supplier because your own bakery is not equipped to make small cakes. Shame on you Mackenthuns, for deception and the lack of quality control. Thank goodness Byerlys in Chan. makes their own cakes that taste wonderful...like they should.

I usually don't have the enthusiasm to go out of the way to write reviews, but I got to give them five stars. I came here for just one thing: Malted Milk Powder. After trying Target, Cub Foods, and Lunds & Byerlys I was expecting no success here either, but they had it! And at not quite the high price I was expecting either! $4.19 for a 13 Oz container! That's even cheaper than the $4.29 listed on Target's website (still can't find it in their stores!) For this store I was expecting to be almost $6 or even more! I bought the last three they had on the shelf today before heading off to start my shift at my job nearby! My trip was a success!
