Another brick and mortar store.It's brand new so everything inside is new and clean.. They seem to have tried to copy Whole Foods with the layout... It definitely has the feel of every other chain grocery store.The isles are very cramped which makes no sense in this era of Covid-19. The selection of all the departments is bigger than the old location . As for the prices, I've lived in big cities all over the US and have shopped at co-op but this Ithaca location has some of the highest prices I've seen... No sure if it because of the college's or because the only computation is Wegmans but your paying top dollar to shop at this co-op..If Trader Joe's or Whole Foods ever comes to this area the store will definitely have to fall in line and lower their prices.. I do like to buy local but this big shinny new store just doesn't give me that vibe... Feels totally like I'm in Whole Food's which I refuse to step inside of.. I hope the locals support it !I'd be really interested in knowing if they pay there employees a living wage with health insurance or is this just another corporation hiding behind the co-op banner... Myself I'll stick to the farmers markets and continue growing my own food...
