Need meds after leaving ER. Once again the pharmacy doesn't answer the phone after I called 3 times and waited 10 minutes each time. This is the worst store around.

Yeahhh Im not sure how everyone else had such a great experience but I used to work at CVS at the pharmacy staff here are not good. Ive so far only dealt with them by phone (Ive yet to pick up my script) and they really have done the bare minimum/nothing. I called to check in on one of my medications requiring a prior authorix toon. A female pharm tech answers the phone and as Im talking proceeds to loudly talk to someone else, then loudly in my ear says hellooo helloooo. Im like hi my name is blah blah, Im checking on my script, my DOB is blah blah. She says ok, lemme check, puts me on hold. Another pharm tech answers the phone, and I explain someone else was checking on the status of my PA. He says lemme check on that for you yeah it says it still requires a PA, you should contact ur doc. (Ive also worked with an insurance company and know PAs should be completed w/n 72 hrs) So I say to him, can u re-run it? When was it last processed? He says I mean I guess I can back it out and reprocess it. (The correct answer was Sure, bear with me for one moment while I reprocess it please) which he does and the says it was last run 4 days ago. ... Now a GOOD pharmacy tech should know that unless it was run today... re-run the script. Anywho, I then ask him to fill my two other scripts. He says theyre both filled at different pharmacies. I say yes I know. Id like to pick them up at the same pharmacy. He abruptly says in an obviously irritated tone lemme check and puts me on hold. Theyre filled at another CVS. Theres nothing to check. Just have the other CVSs back out the scripts and fill them at ur store. Its really not difficult. As a person who knows what goes on behind the scenes, their customer service is NOT good. Hopefully theyre better in person.

Worst pharmacy I have ever been to they are always slow and say they are under staffed I'm currently in the drive thru line an there are 12 cars that haven't moved in almost 30 minutes I mean damn it emporia not a big city how busy could thyt possibly gey another sign of the terrible customer service in emporia

Today We visited this store as my child was unwell due to long road trip & this was the nearest CVS we could find. Staffs are very kind & helpful. They helped us with right medication in this hour of emergency. I am earnestly greatful to them yes I would highly recommend this place.
